ABOUT OUR CHATANIM:

SOL LESH was born in Berlin and is the youngest of three children. Thanks to the wisdom and foresight of his mother, his family fled Germany just prior to the Holocaust. Sol attended Yeshiva Torah Vodaath. Together with his late wife Diane (Z”L), Sol raised his three children Michael, Tamara, and Amy. He is also a proud grandfather. Sol is active in many aspects of Park East Synagogue and Rabbi Arthur Schneier Park East Day School. Much
of his time is dedicated to the Scholarship Committee, ensuring an opportunity for more children to receive a stellar Jewish education.
Thanks to a significant endowment to Rabbi Arthur Schneier Park East Day School, many students benefit from Sol’s benevolence. His leadership has helped the Synagogue continue to flourish.
Sol began a career in medical sales and founded Cardiographics, Inc. and
Precision Charts, Inc., manufacturers of electrocardiograph papers to the medical industry. He continues to serve as Chairman and CEO. Sol established an electrocardiograph paper processing plant in Israel which was eventually gifted to Kibbutz Ein Charod Hameuchad so that their elder members can feel functional and continue to work in their later years. He is the founder and past president of the Lake Success Jewish Center.
Our Synagogue and Day School has greatly benefited from his leadership and generosity. He is a regular Baal Maftir and rejoices in participating in our services and programming.
