Tuesday Lunch and Learn: BOOK OF SAMUEL I

This is an in depth study of the difficulties David encountered with King Saul, the eternal friendship with Jonathan, and the rise of the Davidic dynasty.
Parallels of the above incidents found in other parts of the Bible are discussed.
Emphasis is placed on word or phrase nuances, and are analyzed.
This class is taught by Rabbi Einsidler in the Wool on Tuesdays at 12:30.

Selections from the weekly Parsha are discussed with the traditional commentaries of Rashi, Ramban and Ibn Ezra. At times a related Mishna or a section of the Talmud related to the Parsha will be covered. Participants are encouraged to comment and present their opinions.
This class is taught by Rabbi Einsidler in the main sanctuary on Shabbat afternoons, one hour before mincha.
